ClusterXChange, Bologna, 29/03-31/03/2023.

Last week in Bologna the ClusterXChange organized by COMET - Cluster della Metalmeccanica del FVG in the framework of the EU funded Evolute Project took place.


29/03/2023 - Day 1:
On the first day of the ClusterXChange, the delegation had the pleasure to be guests of CURTI S.p.A. Costruzioni Meccaniche. CURTI is engaged in the production of automatic machines and complex assemblies for various industrial applications, which we had the opportunity to visit during a factory tour. CURTI gave us an insight into a project from their aerospace program, the Zefhir, an ultra-light helicopter with integrated parachute.
In the afternoon we went to Manz Italy Srl, a foreign location of the Manz company from Reutlingen. We were given a brief overview of the site and then a tour of the company. Manz Italy Srl produces lithium-ion batteries, e.g. for the automotive sector and consumer electronics, as well as capacitors for more than 4,000 systems and machines worldwide.


30/03/2023 - Day 2:
On the second day of ClusterXChange, we were allowed to visit the historic production facility of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.. This was particularly interesting because the previous day the new model, the Lamborghini Revuelto, was presented to the public. In an interesting factory tour, the participants got an insight into the production of the new model and the great complexity of the handmade luxury cars.
In the afternoon, the participants visited the MECSPE fair, the international reference fair for the manufacturing industry. Here the delegation had the opportunity to establish new contacts with companies of interest to them in pre-arranged meetings and to create an opportunity for future cooperation.
In the evening, the delegation was invited to a networking dinner with 70 participants, made up of partners from the COMET cluster. Here, participants had the opportunity to deepen contacts with each other or make completely new contacts over a delicious meal and a glass of wine.


31/03/2023 - Day 3:
On the last day of ClusterXChanges, the participants went back to MECSPE. This time there was no fixed program. Everyone was free to move around the exhibition, look at the exhibitors and contact them directly if needed.


In conclusion, it remains to say that the ClusterXChange was a great success for all participants and the initial feedback was consistently positive. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Michela Pivetta and COMET - Cluster della Metalmeccanica del FVG for the great organization and execution of this great event.
